Spring is here, the days are sunny with temperatures in the in the 70’s, flowers are starting to bloom and the summer teaching season has begun.

I’m starting the 2015 season with a class in my shop, a collaboration with Pygmy Kayaks building two of their Pinguino 145 designs.  It’s a full week but we are making great progress and having fun as we bring these boats to life.  I can already tell both boats will be used often once they hit the water.

I’ve got our new cabinets installed and we have a working kitchen. It’s nearly finished but some of the final details will have to wait. After this week’s class I need to get back to work on a kitchen for a client in Portland.  That one is going to be really nice as well.

Couple of other things to share; the Fox Building Class at Squam Lake in August has a few openings. Here’s the link to register.  I’ll be at The Carpenters Boat Shop in July building my Mischief Pram with students, here’s a link.  There are also a few openings in my first class at WoodenBoat in June. Oh, and the weather is perfect for getting out on my bike. I rode in shorts yesterday for the first time this year!

PS. It’s in the low 50 this evening and I had to bundle up for my ride. Was yesterday summer?

It's nice here to have mountain (well small mountain) and seacoast rides right where I live.
